We are a not-for-profit, federally incorporated educational institution of professional musicians and volunteers that serves its clients through programs of study, training, examination, recognition and performance. Conservatory Canada's roots go back to 1891, when the London Conservatory was first founded. In 1910, the London Conservatory became affiliated with The University of Western Ontario and it became an examining Board. In 1915 that affiliation was dissolved, and in 1919 the Institute of Music Arts was founded (as a teaching institution). In 1922, the London Conservatory and Institute of Musical Arts amalgamated and existed until 1934, when they were incorporated under the name Western Ontario Conservatory of Music. The reach became truly national in 1997 through a merger with The Western Board of Music (established in 1934, serving all of western Canada, and based in Edmonton, Alberta).
The Academy of Music has been providing music lessons to London and area residents for over 40 years. Whatever your age, you can enjoy a private lesson in a professional studio atmosphere. Programs are designed to fulfill the needs of the individual. Competent and caring instructors will offer everything from Royal Conservatory of Music exam preparation to programs that will inspire any hobbyist. Need help with an upcoming audition or performance? Our dedicated staff will help you build the confidence you need to succeed.
Canada Tour Dates ReleasedIts been sometime since we've been north to visit the amazing people in Canada. We are pumped to have these dates officially on the calendar and in our minds. First show starts in Whistler. I think we will hold off on the snowboarding before the show this time. Keeley quickly learned that playing guitar after dislocating his shoulder does not make a tasty treat. They were able to stay with us up until Phoenix and put together some amazing shots and edits of shows, backstage, day off, and travel. Hope you enjoy them as much as we had living them.
