Their main goal has always been to offer quality products, which is obvious in the carefully chosen cottons, notions, patterns, etc., but also to bring in supplies that are different from what you would normally see in a fabric store. When you visit the store, Barbara's influence can be seen in the selection of products offered, she has a keen sense about what people want and from her inspiration the very knowledgeable and friendly staff create a wide variety of kits and projects. Linda's passions are represented in the more specialized areas such as the Asian fabrics, the beautiful Japanese quilts displayed, Sashiko supplies, as well as the array of Foundation Piecing patterns and Locker Hooking supplies.
The Natural Textile Company, founded in Vancouver in 1995, is a fabric retail store which specialises in home furnishing fabrics woven from natural fibres such as cotton, linen, silk, hemp, jute. The fabrics come in all weights and weaves, from translucent combed cotton shee fabrics to heavy jacquard woven brocades. Most fabrics are must purpose, which is to say that they can be used for draperies, upholstery, bedding and apparel - in a cases, if you click on the fabric swatches, you will see the recommended usage for each fabric. Why natural fabrics? Well in the word of company founder Pippa Morgan whilst environmental concerns are an important issue for us, our decision to sell fabrics made only from natural fibres quite simply comes from the fact that we prefer non synthetic textiles. Fabrics woven from natural fibres enhance home furnishing in a way that synthetic or synthetic blended fabrics cannot. For things are important to us when it comes fabric selection - quality, design appeal, color and texture - we hope that these criteria will be obvious to you as your browse our site.
