There are 256 beds at FH organized into eight Resident Home Areas (RHA), each with its own care centre, dining room, activity room, lounges, spa, shower rooms and balconies. FH is a five-storey building serviced by two elevators and the main entrance is on level 2. There is no smoking room at FH. One of the RHAs is designed to meet the special needs of cognitively impaired, but physically active residents. Resident rooms at FH are designed to promote resident comfort and privacy. Rooms are furnished with an adjustable single bed (some are electric), night table, table lamp, overhead light fixtures, spacious wardrobe, high privacy sunshade over the window and sturdy upholstered chair. Each room has windows that can be opened for those who enjoy fresh air. In addition, each resident room has independent temperature controls and the Home is fully air conditioned. An interactive call bell system is provided in the resident’s living space as well as in the bathroom.

We offer Employment Ontario programs that provide valuable services to job seekers and employers. Job seekers of all ages are welcome to visit the centre for support with job search related activities, (resumes, interview skills, jobs, career planning), job development, (job placements/matching), and access to resources, (computers, photocopier etc.) Employers can access our services for assistance to find the right candidates, to post and market jobs, financial incentives to help train employees and funding for skills training. We also provide an apprenticeship-signing bonus and an incentive to employers who hire a youth who has never worked. Please contact us or come in to find out more about any of our services.
