SLIAO was incorporated in June 1997 by a group of ASL interpreters who determined that working in partnership would improve the quality & availability of interpreting service in Ottawa area.
All SLIAO ASL-English interpreters are Active (working) members of The Association of Visual Language Interpreters of Canada (AVLIC).
