Starting back in the 1970's when my father use to load up all his kids and some friends in a pick up truck that were willing to work for little pay then drive into the country side and hand dig with a shovel healthy spruce, pine and birch trees from the wild. Most of those trees are now 50ft tall in and around the Calgary area.
