The View Gallery is a contemporary art gallery on the Nanaimo campus of Vancouver Island University, which presents all types of visual arts and designs made by students, community-members, and professional artists. A non-commercial site, the gallery presents a mixture of programming and art events that range from touring exhibitions to annual showcases of student art. The View Gallery is run and staffed by faculty members and students in the Department of Art and Design, within the Faculty of Art and Humanities.

WorkBC Ucluelet provides free assistance and support for job seekers and employers in Ucluelet and surrounding communities. Our location is just off the main road as you drive into the centre of town, in the building with the big red roof at the corner of Peninsula and Bay Streets. In our self-serve resource area you can update your resume, apply for jobs online, or use our printer, photocopier or fax machine. There are also available job search and job start supports for eligible unemployed clients who need help looking for work or to get started in a new job. Ask one of our Resource Centre Advisors about available WorkBC personal supports and services. Depending on eligibility, these include one-on-one employment counselling, group workshops, training supports, skills assessments, wage subsidy, self-employment services, and customized job placement.
