In my quest to find a destemmer late in the season I visited Macedo Wine on Caledonia for the first time, although the destemmer wasn't available at that time- The customer service I experienced was excellent; as a made arrangements for this year to borrow a destemmer from a friend I will certainly go back this week to buy my grapes. When grocery shopping at Shoppers World (Danforth/Victoria Park), I much prefer dropping by the Wine Rack than to purchase from the grocery store as (1) I am promoting/supporting Canadian products/ businesses (2) the people that work there are pleasant, friendly and helpful and (3) I certainly appreciate the customer service oriented businesses in Toronto. Macedo Wine Grape Juice Ltd. was established originally by the Macedo Brothers in 1977, in the heart of the city of Toronto. At that time the company offered quality grapes from Canada and California. In 1985, David Macedo ventured on his own and opened Macedo Wine Grape Juice Ltd, on Ossington Ave. where he also introduced fresh grape juice from California. Later, in 1997 Mr. Macedo opened another location on Caledonia Park Rd., where he created Macedo U-Vin Ltd, offering fermentation on premise for his clientele. With further continued success another location was opened in 2007 on Dufferin St. In 2009, the newly renovated Ossington Ave location launched Macedo Wines & Organics, offering wine and organic products with a holistic nutritionist on site. Macedo Wine Grape Juice's mission is to continue dedicating and providing quality products, knowledge and service.
