Rose of Sharon Services for Young Mothers is a not-for-profit, charitable organization providing support and educational services to pregnant and parenting young women under the age of 25 across York Region.Since 1985, we have given young mothers the opportunity to work towards their goals in a supportive, learning-centered environment while parenting their young children. With the generous support of our community, we are able to enhance the lives of young women and their families. We are the only agency providing these services in the region and the need for our services continues to grow each year.

Rose Cottage Pantry is very much a family business. We have farmed at Garton-on-the-Wolds since 1960 and continue to do so today. As far back as I can remember I have worked on the family farm and over the generations we have always worked closely together as a family and continue to do so today. My father, brother, partner as well as an extended family of local lifelong friends and neighbours are an integral part of Rose Cottage Pantry.Following my time at Bishop Burton Agricultural College in East YorkshireI was inspired to look at ways of adding value to the produce from our farm. Rose Cottage Pantry was created in 1999 and was a natural evolution in terms of using quality home produce from our own farm. We use Pork sourced from local farmers across East Yorkshire in our products. Our Pies are made in the old East Riding way, using traditional regional skills and fresh local produce and using 'Grandma's' family recipes.You will find the Rose Cottage Pantry team to be regular and friendly faces at Food Festivals and Farmers Markets.
