Each morning a fresh pot of coffee signals the beginning of a new day.
The baker starts his dough, weighing out each ingredient in meticulous fashion, kneading and shaping. Waiting for it to rise, the ovens get turned to its' desired temperature. All the while, the baker's apprentice makes the tomato sauce and prepares the first batch of pizzas.
The pastry chef, prepares his creams, sponges and tools, while his table gets lined up with cakes to mount and decorate. His assistant, starts filling, piping and portioning the pastries.
The stoves get crammed with tomato sauce as the cooks prep the take-out, salads and sandwiches. Meats are roasted to perfection and the air receives the classic smell of an Italian grandmother's kitchen.
The doors are opened and the day continues.
Highlighted by a great team, the customers get greeted with smiles and the aroma of freshly baked goods.
Many of you know that I've been dabbling in catering and wine tasting for quite a few years now, mostly part time, but for the past year I've been working on making it my principle focus. I'm loving it!
I've worked in the culinary world for over 20 years now and acquired my sommelier (wine) certificate 10 years ago. All this in saying that I can guarantee you a memorable gastronomic experience no matter what your budget. I work personally with all my clients to develop menu choices, and the options are vast. I am also open to preparing weekly meals for people who need a helping hand with their busy schedules.
