Jesus appeared before the disciples, and after blessing them and encouragingthem not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Holy Spirit, His body ascended into heaven to His kingly throne at the right Hand of God the Father. With the Feast of the Ascension, Jesus sends his disciples out into the world to proclaim the Good News, and each of us is included in this mission.
