From its simple beginnings, to the charm & comfort of a beautiful historic home in Unionville - our current home. Montessori North School has grown & prospered. It is often called one of Markham's hidden treasures, nestled in a beautiful, natural setting. Over the past 30 years, Montessori North School has been a home-away-from-home for hundreds of Markham's children. We offer a Montessori program for 2 to 6 year old that runs half or full days. What we hope to accomplish through our curriculum is to deliver children to themselves by giving them Dr. Montessori's "Keys to the Universe", as well as nurturing their social & emotional confidence to go out into the world to use them. The Museum's collections have grown over the years and now number over 12,500 artifacts: far too many to be all on display at once! In order to highlight different aspects of the collections, we offer three time-limited changing exhibitions as well as one semi-permanent exhibition.
