I'm not sure what these other people are talking about because I think this place is amazing. They have three locations now, and as a loyal customer, I have visited all of them. Each atmosphere is a little different, the most recent addition at Yonge/Eglinton (Piazzetta #3) is the nicest. More importantly, the food is consistently amazing, not to mention inexpensive. My guests and I have never been disappointed. The pastas are always fresh and the pizzas are always perfectly thin and remind me so much of my trip to Italy. My favourites are the Calamari, Penne Primavera and Arugala Salad. But I also love the funghi pizza (which ALWAYS has lots of mushrooms). My partner loves the grilled salmon and veal chop entrees. On April 8, 2011 we opened Trattoria Taverniti. Each day we are in the kitchen making our pomodoro sauce, meatballs, gnocchi, lasagna, chicken eggplant parmigiana, tiramisu, and other delicious foods - all from scratch.
Excellent and cute family owned restaurant in Little Italy, Toronto. We had the pleasure of celebrating sweet Nonna's birthday (chef) We recommend the bruschetta, caprese salad, pizza. Sidecar emphasises simple preparation with fresh ingredients and uncomplicated presentations. This was a sigularly phenomenal experience. All of our food was lick-your-plate excellent. I love their investment in local food producers. Their housemade breads, butters, pastas totally show it. We also were treated to a random complimentary amuse-bouche of a pork terrine with caramelized onions on crostini. Vanilla creme brulee was the single best creme brulee I've ever had--PERFECTLY burnt sugar. Truly amazing prices for food this good. ONLY down thought?
