DB Yoga is a style of Hot Yoga created by Yogi Brothers from India with an intention to serve communities with authentic Yoga practice. Hot Yoga classes at DB Yoga are accessible to beginner, intermediate and advanced students. There are options in every class for each level of student, coupled with high quality Yoga instructions and Hot Yoga environment.

We offer free literacy programs for English-speaking adults who want to learn to read and write, use basic math and/or computer skills, in order to gain more confidence and become more active in their communities. We offer Literacy and Basic Skills Education and Academic Upgrading for youth and adults who want to transition to post-secondary studies, employment or training programs. Volunteers are the foundation of our learning community. Their hard work and dedication are essential to the success of Parkdale Project Read. Please consider joining our team!

Paramita's goal is to mould all students into professional makeup artists. By expanding their creative abilities through our one-on-one instructed Bootcamps we ensure that each student learns new techniques to become an artistic, expressive and confident makeup artist in their chosen field. Paramita gives students the skills to not only work as Makeup Artists, but to empower other women by bringing out their natural beauty and confidence. Students will also learn about marketing, networking, job opportunities, business cards and setting goals. Once in the workforce they will have the know-how to promote themselves competitively.

The school is surrounded by stable, mature neighbourhoods with a variety of housing, park land, a modern multi-use recreation facility and a new community library nearby. 2012-13 is our first year as a K-8 school. As a result of a recent Accommodation Review Committee in this area, two former feeder schools (Peter Secor Jr. and Heron Park Jr.) were closed and a major addition of Kindergartens and primary classrooms were built. From these different schools we all have blended together to work well in harmony, in a peaceful, cooperative and respectful learning environment.
