Originated In April Of 1977 As A Response To Our Community'S Demand For A Support Service For Those In Need Of A 'Listening Ear'. A Community Information Centre Was Developed To Help Community Members Access Information About The Range Of Health And Human Services Available In The South Simcoe Area. Since Then, Contact Has Continued To Assess Current And Future Trends Within Our Community In Order To Respond To The Needs Of Our Community Members.

Focus began in 1985 providing a number of community services and in 1987 employment services were added to the organization.
