The Big Sister Association began as a befriending service for teenage girls involved in the court system and who had no family support or guidance. The Association assumed the responsibility for the well-being of these young women, teaching them life skills and providing them with practical aid such as food, clothing, employment and education

The Yee Hong Community Wellness Foundation is the fundraising, communications and public relations arm of the Yee Hong community. The Foundation raises all necessary funds to cover the operation expenses of services and programs of the Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care and the capital to build new Centres as approved by the Board. To maintain the continuum of care which benefits thousands of seniors, we need to raise $2.5 million every year.
