Dr. Sowden is a fellowship qualified, certified specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Our surgical facility is equipped with technology advanced specialized equipment. We are staffed with a highly trained, experienced, compassionate team of caring professionals. Our surgical-anaesthetic suites are inspected and approved by the BC College of Dental Surgeons. Patients undergoing surgical procedures in our clinic are constantly monitored by qualified, certified staff to ensure optimal care and safety. Any procedure that can be safely done on an outpatient basis can be safely done in our clinic setting, avoiding potentially inconvenient and time-consuming hospitalization.

I first started counseling at the Toronto East General Hospital Walk-in Crisis Centre in 1981, and have continued learning ever since. I've had plenty of academic training, at three different schools--York University in Toronto, Memorial University of Newfoundland, and Simon Fraser University in British Columbia. Much of that training involved discussing clients with senior clinical psychologists.
