The King's School has been operating since 1982 on its campus located on 23 wooded acres in rural Langley. It currently has about 130 students from kindergarten to Grade 12. While the school was originally founded as a church school and continues to be supported by The King's Community Church, over 60% of the students now come from various churches in the area. We offer a Christian education which satisfies and goes beyond the requirements of the B.C. Ministry of Education guidelines. We endeavour to teach every subject from a Biblical perspective. Upon High School Graduation, students are eligible to apply for admission to post-secondary institutions. The staff tries to ensure that the students receive character as well as academic training. The ACT is the home for culture and live entertainment in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. We are a non-profit public resource serving the artistic and cultural needs of the diverse audiences in our community. The ACT offers a wide range of activities throughout the year including live music, theatre and comedy to classes, workshops and events. The ACT also houses the Maple Ridge Art Gallery, presenting the best of visual arts in our community. We finish with coffee between 11.30am and noon. Midweek the church meets in small House Fellowships throughout the area. These small groups help us to praise, pray, study, discuss and fellowship more informally. They provide a relational foundation for church life. There are also several other activities that take place regularly if not weekly; Prayer meetings for fathers and for the church, hockey, youth groups... to name a few.
