Click on our weblink to view the video and meet the owners! Toronto was first introduced to New York style pizza when the Pugliese family founded Vesuvio in 1957. Vesuvio has served the West Toronto area since Italian food was a novelty. Their recipes are always original and of the best quality. As the first and oldest pizzeria and spaghetti house in Toronto, they continue to be a family owned establishment and maintain the close attention given to their authentic Italian cuisine.
FINALLY. A place in Toronto that serves awesome Pizza! Fresh Toppings, loaded with taste, perfect cheese, and a great crust. And not greasy! Hands down my favourite and best Pizza parlour in Toronto. The Danforth Pizza house is good, but this is better. If you have ever had pizza in the Windsor-Detroit area, this pizza is made from that same recipe. You'll know as soon as you taste it. If you decide to dine in, the interior is clean, casual, and a classy. Staff is friendly and work hard to ensure you are happy with your meal. The pasta dishes are good too, very fresh, and good sized portions. The prices are standard fare. Read more
The kind of spot Marlon Brando or Frank Sinatra might show up for a 'za and a glass of malbec, this hip Annex trattoria is a standout for lots of reasons. Take, for example, the consistently yummy pies that tumble out of its state-of-the-art, imported-from-Italy pizza oven. Or the eight interesting by-the-glass wines (picked at the owner's discretion and subject to seasonal change-ups) that flow from the on-site Enomatic machine. Or the fresh pasta and tomato sauce prepared to exacting standards in the Mercurio kitchen. Or perhaps it's simply Bar Mercurio's comfy atmosphere — intimate enough to be date-worthy but quaint enough to host a solo experience with gusto — and the attentive, personalized service that flourishes within it.
This is a low lit, romantic, swish place. Not too big, and sometimes not too busy due to its location I think. But its a secret that a few people I have met RAVE about. Good italian food is not difficult, it's just about the ingredients and l'amore. These dishes I had were outstanding, and you know that feeling when it surprises you?! I can't wait to go back. The best Indian restaurant in Toronto. The only restaurant on Gerrard with a constant line up (and think how many restaurants there are). A great buffet, always being replenished. Great variety of flavours and presentations. The bread is out of this world. If you order from the menu, the selection is even better. Every dish cooked fresh, and they will adjust the heat to your liking. Very attentive and polite servers. A beautifully decorated room. Do yourself a favour - go to Sidhartha tonight. Read more

Martini madness and live entertainment on Thursdays. Outdoor patio open during summer. Elegant Private Banquet Hall next door. Brunch on Weekends until 3pm. Currently looking for student bands seeking venue for Friday nights.
I've been to Brownstone's several times now, and it's always a good experience. Friendly staff, and good food. Their brunch gets busy on Sundays, and deservedly so, but we were able to make a reservation the night before for our not-so-small party. The banana and Nutella pancakes were delicious, but topped with syrup, were a bit rich for my delicate stomach. Good fresh orange juice. The decor is lively and interesting, though sitting near the front door can be drafty in cool weather. Read more
