I tented here with family on the Labor Day Weekend. Lovely treed sites, backing onto a conservation area, shallow sandy beach a two minute walk away. Friendly and helpful owner. Deer, chipmunks, squirrels on site and pretty tame! Negative: was a bit crowded, not much privacy.

Just 4 1/2 hours north of Toronto, this five star resort is truly one of the closest near north experiences available to the GTA. The Upper French River and Lake Nipissing offer Chaudière's guests two very different experiences.
