He had asked one of his brothers, Mike, to postpone his venture as a tailor, and to come and work with him for a short period of time. Mike had already made plans to pursue his career in the US and start his own tailor business. 37 years later, Mike and Bart are still working together, side by side, committed to selling fine furniture to customers.Through the years, many family members have joined the business but eventually moved on to pursue different careers. Mike's eldest son, Richard aka Riccardo, has been involved in the business since he was young. In 1995, he became a shareholder/partner with Contess,a and has been committed to the business to this very day.Contessa has had a few different homes during these years. The first location was downtown on Princess Street catering to traditional, French provincial and Barocco styles. These styles featured upholstery, dining and bedroom sets with hand crafted and carved frames.In the mid 80's, Contessa moved to Notre Dame Avenue.

Ken completed the culinary art program and has been developed his experience for over fifteen years in many traditional Japanese restaurant in Korea . He 'fell in love' with Japanese cuisine during a study in Japan and has more confidence of his own style along with traditional way.After moving to Winnipeg in 2007, He starts his own restaurant in Academy which is holding the most leading trends and fashion shops in Winnipeg. It has been constantly expanded to two more locations for now.He said what made him surprise was most Japanese restaurant emphasized only 'sushi' even though sushi was only the part of whole cuisine. This is the reason there are so many lists his menu which covers many dishes people never seen before to any other place.
