The Okyerema Int Foundation is a registered charitable organization based in Toronto, Canada. We help less fortunate children in Africa financially to be able to go to school for the better tomorrow. We have a dedicated staff of five full time workers and five volunteers. Many of the children we work are orphans, and through our sponsorship program they are able to attended school and make a real change in their lives. Some were completely dropped out of school due to poverty but with the help from us many of these children lives have completely change from bad to better. Global Impact Development (GID) was founded by a cadre of youths from varied backgrounds. They possessed the vision, passion, aptitude and willingness, which allowed them to successfully tackle and overcome the challenges facing youths. Today, they stand as testament of what can be accomplished and, with their energy and understanding of the youth issues, and are an inspiration to their peers. GID represents a convergence of the ambitions and skills sets of its founders, which uniquely positions the organization to achieve record breaking results in helping youth overcome all obstacles they face. GID has become a youth driven, youth focused organization, believing strongly that peer education, and support is the solution towards the empowerment and betterment of today’s young people.
Eva's Place first opened its doors in 1994 and in 10 short years we expanded from one to three shelters – with the addition of Eva's Satellite and Eva's Phoenix – each offering an innovative combination of programs and services for homeless and at-risk youth.
