In September of 1980 a small shingle mill was being built on the edge of the Fraser River in Matsqui, British Columbia, right in the heart of the thriving cedar shake and shingle industry. The mill started small, but as demand grew, it would slowly begin to expand. Since that opening day, G&R Cedar grew from 1 machine, to 10 by 2003 and have a new Chilliwack location as well where we make sidewall shingles. All along the goal was to make the finest quality products available to the consumer. In order to achieve this goal, our saws and equipment are maintained daily, and precisely, something we take great pride in. Customer satisfaction is, and always will be, our most important objective.

Toxic wastes from the process are handled with all possible regard to the environment and public safety. Autos are first accessed for use able parts and then dismantled and catalogued. Parts are placed in different sections of the yard and the cars shell is placed in the yard for easy access to the body parts required for our customers.
