I have never had such excellent and professional service as I had with Afshar Dental Clinic. I have Dr. Afshar himself extremely understanding of the client's needs and the dental implant/dentures or just the cleaning services required. In my own experience, more than once he went out of his clinic hours to look after me. I found this dental office spontaneously when I needed an emergency root canal and they were in the same building as my old job. I have a severe phobia of dental work and I can't say enough great things about this place. All the staff is very supportive and understanding. They all work together to make me as comfortable as possible each and every visit. The hygienists are so gentle and understanding and take their time when they know you are frightened. Enter the actual dentist, doctor Kachuk, who is just as supportive and understanding, and is truly excellent at his craft. He let me set my own pace until I started feeling more comfortable. With his fantastic work I now have about ten years of waiting dental work finished and couldn't be happier. Short version: amazing dentist, go here.

Scientific research has failed to demonstrate any evidence linking amalgam to disease of any kind. Therefore, be wary of people who use scare tactics to persuade you to replace your old fillings to get rid of the 'poisonous' mercury. In fact you would need about 250 or more amalgam fillings in your mouth (which is impossible) to reach the daily maximum mercury exposure and it takes about 1600 years for the mercury to be released from a filling.
