The Happy Cooker opened its doors to Winnipeg in September 1973. We have been proudly serving Winnipeggers now for over 40 years! The passage of time has been very exciting indeed and we have seen many changes in the kitchenware industry. Changes in staples such as knives and cookware, electrical and gadgets have been significant over this four decade period.In 1999 we lost everything in an infamous but destructive fire on Osborne Street. termined not to let this icon disappear, we rebuilt the business in the old Bank of Montreal Building situated on the corner of Osborne Street and Stradbrook Avenue.Osborne Village is an eclectic, bustling region in the City of Winnipeg. We have seen many changes in our time here with both businesses and people. 2012 saw Osborne Village voted ?The Best Neighbourhood? in Canada and we are very very proud to have been a part of that.

Toad ScheduleThe Toad in the Hole Pub has been a staple in Winnipeg?s Osborne Village since the doors opened in 1990. Proprietor Michael Monk took over in 2004, and has continued the tradition of great pub grub with a wide selection of premium domestic and import beer. The Toad has grown over the years and in that time, has established a reputation as a ?go to? spot in the music scene. The Cavern Club downstairs offers local, national and international artists the opportunity to showcase their music to appreciative audiences throughout the week. We are a small store, so we strive to carry the best, currently desired items at reasonable prices.We strive to remain at the forefront of current design and decorating trends. THE DYE HOUSEThe Dye House was established in 1990 with a vision to provide the garment industry access to high quality garment dyeing services.Our goal was to offer an unlimited choice of colors and finishes in a timely and cost effective manner. By staying true to our dream, we have become the largest custom garment dyeing facility in Western Canada.We occupy a 14,000 sq. ft. plant located right smack in the middle of Canad,a close to the Winnipeg International Airport. See map below.We have a skilled and experienced work force, many of whom have been with us since conception. Owners are always on premises and involved in all aspects of the business from sales and production to quality control and product development. Our 'hands-on' approach allows us to react quickly to our customers' needs and to maintain a high quality product that we - and our customers - can be proud of.We currently operate a variety of dye machines ranging in size from 100# to 800# each. Our current weekly capacity is approximately 50,000#, but could be increased up to 100,000# a week at this location
