Ever since the time I snuck past my father with an abandoned Dog in my arms to bring into our house as a little girl, I've always had an incredible soft spot for Dogs and they have always been a part of our home throughout my life. Continuing through the years with this love, in fall of 2011 we decided to adopt our first rescue Dog, Trouble and Squash, through the Ladybird Animal Sanctuary. Trouble and Squash being senior dogs were having trouble finding a permanent home due to their age and the fact that Trouble weighed in at 50lbs and had little mobility. They quickly made a huge impression on our hearts. Over the next while, with the help of a well maintained diet and encouragement to conquer stairs for exercise, we managed to knock Trouble's weight down to an incredible 60lbs.
