All weather access is provided by PR #276 from Ste. Rose Du Lac to Toutes Aides, and then PR #481 to Crane River. The community employs a fulltime Public Works Employee, a fulltime Community Administrative Officer, a certified parttime Water Operator, a Community Constable, a parttime Recreation Director, and a Rink Operator. Volunteer Fire DepartmentWaterhen has its own volunteer Fire Department. Approximately 20 volunteer Fire Fighters are with the department, who do ongoing training twice monthly under the direction of Fire Chief John Mark Taylor.Waterhen currently owns 1 fire truck, and 1 rescue and water tanker truck.
The Board of Trustees approved the current Mission Statement in February 2008. There are several components that comprise the total document. Each of these components is important and has significance for the Division. These components are explained in the following text.
