I took a date there for date night. A nice, large booth was offered to us, very romantic and appealing.
The food was great in my opinion. Portions were very generous, and the flavour was more of a Canadianized Italian than authentic style. We both enjoyed or meal and the real treat came at dessert with the Chocolate Pizza - amazing and worth going again so I can introduce another to this delicacy.
The wine list was surprisingly diverse, a welcome treat. Our server treated us well. Based on my experience I would return to try it out again.

he folks at L'Academie care about customers. I used UberEatz to get my food and don't know if (but don't discount the possibility that) i pressed the wrong button or if something went wrong on the other end, but when I order arrived some of the dishes weren't what I thought I had ordered and my son didn't want what we got. I have been going to Christina's for years, and i can honestly say that every time i go, it's a great experience. the waitresses are always lovely, and i really enjoy the homey atmosphere. Although I admit that the service can be a little slow at times, i also realize that i am not the one cooking the food, or serving it. i, as a customer, understand that there are things that happen behind the scenes that the waitresses nor the cooks can control, and that everybody makes mistakes sometimes. as far as the food, i like that it's all home made. there have been a couple times when the food was a bit over cooked for my liking, but it wasnt anything that would discourage me from going back. i think some people forget how hard it is to run a business. lighten up! one bad meal isnt the end of the world!
