Merrill graduated from York University with a degree in Sociology. Prior to entering the Family Mediation field Merrill was a successful senior manager and sales coach in the corporate sector. Ms. Barber is certified as an accredited Family Mediator, completing the Therapeutic Family Mediation program at the University of Toronto in 2007. She is a member of the Ontario Association for Family Mediation (OAFM) and qualified in solution-focused counseling. She served as the Professors assistant for the Family Mediation Certificate program at the University of Toronto in 2008 and 2009, and has assisted in writing published papers, articles and books on mediation.
