Forty years ago, I founded Townwood Homes on a vision that involves a passion for bringing a piece of land to life by placing families on it in well-built, beautifully designed homes in wholesome communities. The tremendous feedback we've enjoyed from happy Townwood homeowners is gratifying, and the large percentage of repeat and generational purchasers we serve represents the highest compliment we can receive. The Townwood philosophy of building the BEST possible home at every price point is based on communication with home buyers. We do our homework - we ask people what they want in a home, and we adapt as their needs change, and as the market changes. I'm proud that over the past quarter century, Townwood has thrived through boom times and recessions, and that we've provided a stability that is so elusive in the home building marketplace.

In 1946, the construction industry was very different from what it is today. There was some heavy equipment available, but much of the hard work was done by labourers using picks, shovels and wheelbarrows to get the job done. The work was hard, often dangerous and for the most part unregulated by unions and government safety regulations. These were the conditions that existed when Atlas began with a handful of men and the will to succeed.
