As an adult, bicycles have continued to provide me with much enjoyment and freedom. I ride to see what's down an unknown street, to hear the cacophony of frogs in March, and to smell the food being prepared in different neighborhoods, all while picking up some vegetables for dinner. When the season is right, I'll stop to pick berries or mushrooms. I slow down to browse random yard sales. I ride faster just because it's fun. In many ways, I ride for the same reasons as when I was a kid. I'm riding for the experience of riding, for nothing and everything at once.

The paper attempts to interest the public by showing them examples of successful Vancouver city farmers. It also reports on political issues that affect the city farmers (there has been a great deal of controversy lately about a particular woman in Vancouver who raises chickens in defiance of city by-laws), and products and information that are of use to them.
