Welcome to Golden Plains Greenhouse. Family owned and operated by Shelly, Ed & Vicki. We are located in Kleefeld Manitoba and are easy to find and are within driving distance from Winnipeg, Steinbach, Mitchell and surrounding areas. 2001 Shelly and Ed Giesbrecht bought Global Greenhouse in Kleefeld Manitoba renaming it GOLDEN PLAINS GREENHOUSES. Renewing Shelly's love of flowers! Shelly grew up with growing plants from a young age back in England where her parents owned and operated their own market garden place.
So with the help from her husband Ed and Daughter Vicki the business began to grow. In 2005 we added a large selling house and in 2012 we added a vegetable house. As the business grew, he have expanded in to the trees and shrubs area in 2011.
At this time we have: 2 growing houses 20'X100' 2 selling houses: 1 for flowers 30'X100 1 for vegetables 20'X40'and a retail area 30'X40.

The Boyne Regional Library Was First Organized By The Young Adult Group (Now The Young Citizens Group) In 1943. The Young Adult Group Was Lead By President Alfred J. Strachan And Secretary Margaret Burnett.Initially All Books Were Donated To The Library Because Of A Lack Of Funds. The Young Adult Group Also Needed A Building To House Their Library. They Asked Local Druggist, F.W. Humphries If They Could Display Books In His Front Window. He Willingly Agreed And Offered To Act As Librarian As Well.However, The Library Soon Outgrew The Front Window Of The Pharmacy And New Arrangements Had To Be Made. They Moved To Art Hands Insurance Office And Displayed The Books In The Window There. He And His Staff Acted As Librarians.

Lazy and relaxing runs are great for the more laid back, drift along and enjoy the wildlife which includes deer, beavers, mink, black bears, and eagles. Explore the old river beds and sandbars. Beautiful giant poplars and oaks line the riverbank. The river provides great fishing for walleye, goldeye, pike, catfish, maybe you'll even see a sturgeon. Virtually mosquito free on the water!
