It was happy hour (Mon & Wed ?8-10 pm) which offers various appetizers for lower prices. They were delicious - I especially recommend the crab cakes and calamari. The sangria is served in a small pitcher and was filled with fruit and is very refreshing.Overall, it was a great dining experience, the server was attentive and friendly.

Rich upscale restaurant connected to a rich upscale hotel, Luckee is on that level where people take your coat before they seat you. They accomidated a large party for lunch in a deceptively private room with quite a lot of baggage. Ordered the dim sum basket to start with the luckee duck bowl for main which were cooked perfectly, wrapped and presented amazingly. Right on Dundas and Elizabeth, this little gem is sort of hidden downstairs. My Chinese friends refer to it as 'the basement' rather than its name. The bigger the group, the cheaper the meal. Dim Sum is good and very inexpensive ($2.20 - $3.70 per item). If you are going for lunch during the week, get there EARLY as it fills up very quickly. Once you have had lunch there, you will understand why. The Dim Sum is served from carts, so there are times when some of it may not be as hot as it should be, but I have never found that to be a problem since the food is very good. The decor is very basic with plastic table clothes, but the restaurant is quite clean, so that is not a problem. I go there regularly and recommend it.

My friend ordered the Chicken Tikka, which was a big chicken breast, grilled with Tikka sauce on the side. Different, but good. I had the Ping Gai chicken which was excellent and came with Rice and Salad. Total with 2 beers came to $53. A great deal for pretty good food in an upscale pub atmosphere. Will definitely return.

While we were at the restaurant, the fire alarm went on for about 20 minutes. Needless to say it was not that pleasant.
Out waiter however handled it great. he was very attentive to his clients, apologizing for the inconvenience and the restaurant not only offered us a free desert ( their special deep dish cookie! yum) but 2 coupons for a free desert the next time we visit.
I was really happy to see the restaurant own up to what could have been a disappointing experience.
Food was great...as always!!
