As a focal point for raising awareness and support of autism in our community, Mikey's Place has been created by your generosity. Mikey's Place is a small resource centre on Aberdeen Avenue in Midland which is charged with helping connect those newly diagnosed with this disorder to find help and provide them support on what is a lifelong journey. We help to disseminate information about autism to the local community and try to connect people with existing resources. And we help other agencies to become aware of our local needs. We encourage education through providing seminars to parents and professionals. And we encourage local high school students to study autism in college and university. Local autistic children attend Midland's Summer Day Camp through the support you give in providing a dedicated worker for them.
