Strathcona Beer Company is driven to provide a premium, fresh and quality product. We were founded by an impassioned group of friends with deep rooted connections to our neighbourhood and an appreciation for local and international beer. We are proudly located in the heart of Strathcona, Vancouver’s oldest and most diverse commercial and residential neighbourhood. Our world class brewing facility produces a modern style of traditional beer coupled with unique offerings to tempt the palette of the most discerning beer drinkers. We value social development, individual creativity and encourage positive and meaningful contributions to our community. Our collective interests in art, music, skateboarding and design have influenced all aspects of the brand as we strive to push the boundaries of the craft beer industry in order to offer our customers a collaborative community space where great beer, fresh locally sourced food and good friends come together.
In 1984 something happened that forever changed the local beer industry: Granville Island Brewing opened the doors to Canada's first microbrewery. And in doing so, we opened hearts and minds to a whole new beer drinking experience.
The pub, restaurant, and patio have been completely renovated, keeping the prohibition era theme of the original Tudor Inn to complement its modern-day atmosphere. The menu has been revamped with delicious and affordable choices, and daily specials on food and drinks. We welcome serving our community with fundraisers for charitable events, and sponsoring athletic teams and groups. We also have cold beer and wine off-sales, catering services, and a take-out menu. At the Tudor Ale House we value our regular customers and look forward to making many new ones in the coming years.

We focus much of our sustainability efforts towards ongoing community investment, including sponsorship and charitable support, involvement with local sports teams, community organizations and more. we're just as proud of that as we are about what we put in our bottles.
Located right at the main entrance to Granville Island sits the Granville Island Brewery. Due to their popularity I think it has been a long time since this location was their main production facility but that hasn't stopped them from turning this into a unique and fun tourist attraction on the Island. Offering tours daily, you can learn about how their beer is made and more about the history of this unique little piece of brewing history in Vancouver. Granville Island Brewery was one of the first microbreweries in Canada and obviously they did a great job because they started a revolution in the Canadian brewing industry and were even just acquired by Molson Coors earlier this year. After your tour you get to sit and enjoy a sampler tray of 3 different beers. Or, you can just skip the tour and belly up to the bar in the tasting room and try all of their great brews named after Vancouver neighbourhoods and landmarks. For a fun and interesting group outing hit the Granville Island Brewery and enjoy a taste of Vancouver History!Read more
