Search and rescue volunteers save livesWhen lives are in danger, CASARA volunteers are ready, willing and able to provide assistance.No matter what the challenge, 2,800 volunteers nationwide are called upon to search for individuals who are lost or in distress.CASARA is a national volunteer organization funded by the Department of National Defence. Our volunteers provide air search assistance to the Royal Canadian Air Force, and promote flight safety for general aviation as a means to reduce overall SAR incidents.We are pilots, navigators, spotters, search coordinators, electronic search specialists, radio operators and administration staff. We are trained to work as spotters on military aircraft, and to carry out searches using light aircraft and ground vehicles.CASARA has been the umbrella organization for independent provincial and regional groups since 1986. CASARA operates in all 13 provinces and territories with access to 360 aircraft and 2,553 certified pilots, navigators and spotters.MISSION STATEMENTThe mission of the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association (CASARA) is to support Canada's Search and Rescue (SAR) program and to promote SAR Awareness

The Shrine fez bearing the name Khartum, so familiar to many people in Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario today, was relatively unknown until 1905 when Khartum Temple was introduced, established and chartered in Winnipeg, Manitoba, through the efforts of members of the Masonic Order, Scottish and York Rites and the Shrine of North America. Thus, the name 'Khartum', taken from the chief city in Sudan, became Temple No. 95 in the Shrine of North America and the fifth temple to be chartered in Canada.As membership rapidly grew throughout the Shrine of North America, the Imperial Shrine officers recognized that Shriners had to have a mandate that would keep their membership united in a common purpose. Thus, in 1922, was established the Shriners Hospitals for Children, which to this date is known as the 'World's Greatest Philanthropy'. Its mandate was to set up and maintain a network of hospitals for treating children with orthopaedic or burns injuries. In 1923, Khartum Shriners proudly sent their first three patients to the Twin Cities Shrine Hospital for Children for treatment at no cost to the children or their families

Our organization is comprised of 12 Directors elected for a two year term. The five person Executive Committee consists of the Chairperson of the Board, Past Chair, 1st Vice Chairperson, 2nd Vice Chairperson, and the Secretary Treasurer. The board meets on a monthly basis and reviews reports submitted by the Chair of the various committees. it is the mission of the Manitoba Home Builders' Association to be the voice of the residential construction industry in Manitoba; to provide a forum for the ongoing education of the membership with respect to technology and business practices; to achieve an environment in which the membership can operate successfully; and to promote affordability and choice in housing for all Manitobans.

UMSU the Commerce Students' Association (CSA)The Commerce Students' Association (CSA) is the entire student body enrolled in the I.H. Asper School of Business. This includes the 1600+ full- and part-time students in the Undergraduate Bachelor of Commerce program.The CSA Council is a student-run organization that serves the students (YOU!). The council acts as a link between the students, faculty, and members of the business community.The CSA Council is comprised of 7 executive members and 43 internal members, for a total of 50 active members. These students are dedicated to planning, organizing, and promoting approximately 60 events throughout the school year.
