Formed in 1928, SSGA is an incorporated, non-profit organization, representing the interests of more than 800 pedigreed seed growers in Saskatchewan, who produce approximately 400,000 acres of pedigreed seed every year ? nearly a third of all the pedigreed seed acreage in Canada. Saskatchewan's Pedigreed Seed Industry is worth an estimated $389 million to the economy of the province and is the foundation of a $4.3 Billion provincial crop industry.
