The Richmond Therapeutic Equestrian Society provides Therapeutic Riding for people, primarily children and youth with disabilities. We offer several sessions of lessons throughout the calendar year. They are as follows:Our lessons are ½ hour, semi-private and each rider is assigned a weekly time slot for the full session of lessons. Wherever possible, children are paired according to their level of ability and needs. Registration is on a per session basis and the lessons are offered at a subsidized rate of $30.00 each.
The Scleroderma Association of BC was founded in 1984 by five patients diagnosed with scleroderma in varied forms. Today we provide support to about 450 patients and their families throughout BC. We exist to promote patient outreach, support and education; to create public awareness and understanding of scleroderma, and to encourage and support research.
The Aboriginal Head Start Association Of British Columbia (Ahsabc) Is A Nonprofit Society Made Up Of The 12 Urban Aboriginal Head Start (Ahs) Preschool Sites In Bc, All Of Which Are Members Of The Ahsabc. Ahsabc Is A Leader In Aboriginal Early Childhood Education. We Provide Support To Ahs Sites Throughout The Province To Promote Excellence In Programming. We Are Dedicated To The Development Of Aboriginal Children And Their Families, And We Work In Collaboration With Other Organizations And Government To Ensure Consistent Quality Standards
