Welcome to St. James Cemetery and Crematorium, Toronto's oldest operating cemetery. Opened in July of 1844, it is blessed with a rich history, beautiful grounds and the lovely and historic Chapel of St.-James-the-Less. We invite you to browse our site and to explore for yourself St. James' unique beauty and the extensive range of services offered. Casket Graves: Each single grave will accommodate two casket interments and also allow for the interment of cremated remains. Many of the locations available permit an upright monument. Cremation Burial Plots : For those who prefer in-ground interment of cremated remains. Included is a blank 18”x12” unpolished pink granite flat memorial marker. Each plot will accommodate one to four interments. Columbarium Niches: Our freestanding granite columbarium is located in an attractive landscaped setting. Each niche will accommodate a maximum of two standard size cremation urns.

Cemetery office hours are from Monday to Saturday - 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. To serve you better a cemetery counsellor can be available weekday evenings by request and subject to availability.
