It was a our first time taking out newly rescued pup to a Kennel. Martindale Kennels was the friendliest, most genuine place that we have ever been to. We opened our boarding kennel in April 2005, after Ken and I had both retired from the Ontario Provincial Police.We have always been animal lovers (me especially). I have always been an advocate of animal rescue, and have opened my home to numerous abandoned, abused and neglected animals over the years. I am certified in Animal First Aid by Fanshawe College.I have many years experience in dealing with animal behaviours such as fear, separation anxiety, aggression and eating disorders, to name a few. It takes a lot of love and patience to deal with scared and abused animals - but I have found that given enough of both they will reward you with unconditional love and joy.At the present time we are the proud parents of 2 dogs, and 3 cats - all rescues. Our love of animals is what prompted us to think about working with them after our retirement.
