On Thetis Island is Capernwray Harbour Bible Centre, a branch of the international and interdenominational work of Torchbearers International. It is one of 24 such centers for Bible training, retreats and evangelism, which are scattered throughout 19 different countries of the world.

The Taize style service consists of meditative chant based on simplicity of text, interspersed with a Psalm, scripture readings, intercessory prayers and a time of silence where we open ourselves to God¹s presence, all in a candlelight setting.
