Five fully equipped studio rooms with rosco and maple sprung floors, full mirrors, ballet barres and professional sound systems, Hoofers Performing Arts in Oshawa is the place to be for professional dancers. A pianist is on staff for all grade levels of ballet, particularly for younger Creative Movement students to help encourage a knowledge of rhythm and musicality. Viewing windows and plenty of waiting area space is available for parents and siblings, along with a new students change room and private fitting room for competitive and recital costuming. A snack bar and homework room is available to students who spend extra time at the studio training. We also offer exam opportunities with the Royal Academy of Dance (R.A.D.), Ballet Syllabus and Associated Dance Arts for Professional Teachers (A.D.A.P.T). Welcome to 'Traditions'. We are an R.A.D (Royal Academy of Dance) and an I.S.T.D. (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) Syllabus Academy of Dance and a member of the prestigious Teacher-organization, Dance Educators of America - Canada. Our studio is conveniently located with ample parking near downtown Whitby at 307 Brock Street North.
'Traditions' offers a wide range of exciting programs for the recreational dancer as well as the more serious-minded or pre-professional dance student. Having a dual-syllabus program adds significant enhancement to the dancer's technique! Current programs include: Ballet, Modern, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Musical Theatre, Lyrical, Acro, and the new R.A.D Pre-School Program. Elite Dance Corps, located in Bradford, On has been proudly serving the Bradford, Bond Head, Innisfil, Alliston, Barrie and Newmarket area for over eight years. Elite Dance Corps has won numerous awards, and is recognized as one of the most active participants in various local community events as well as national and international dance competitions. Tania Azevedo's students have gone on to dance with Ballet Jorgen, Candadian Natinal Tap Team, become certified dance instructions, and attend dance programs at well know Ontario universities. Tania is constantly strengthening her skills by attending master classes with renowned dance artists and choreographers in all disciplines of dance. Today, she is a full member with P.A.E.C and both Jazz and Tap and has become certified with the International Academy of Dance Adjudicators. Elite Dance Corp is pleased to offer dance classes and instruction in the disciplines of Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Acrobatic Dance, and Hip Hop Lyrical Musical Theater. The dance studio also offers Kinderdance for children ages three and four, and we are pleased to offer adult classes in Belly Dancing, Yoga, Zumba and Cardio Funk. During 2009 Elite Dance Corp was proud to have two of its students selected for the Canadian National Tap Team which completed in Reisa, Germany against 34 other nations and brought home the Gold Medal for their outstanding performance!
