As a result of volcanic eruptions, lightening strikes and meteorites, natural glass has existed since the beginning of time but it was not until 3500 BC that man first attempted to create glass objects for his own use. Non-transparent beads dating found in Egypt and Eastern Mesopotamia are the first evidence of when the craft was born; however, it was not until around 1500 BC that this craft evolved to include glass cases. Using compacted sand moulds dipped in molten glass, the craftsmen created vases. It was only between 27 BC and 14 AD that Syrian artisans actually started blowing hollow glass wares using a long thin metal tube - an artform that has literally remained unchanged since that time. At Bloomfield Studios & Gallery, artists Mel and Colleen Wilder continue to explore this fascinating medium as they create contemporary glass ware, sculptures, jewelry and more for you to enjoy. Jen decided (while on maternity leave from teaching) that it was time to take a chance and open a studio in downtown Napanee. Having learned everything about photography from her father, Mike Fitzpatrick, Jen felt it was time to make her part time passion a full time reality. It was all very 'serendipitious!' She can create beautiful gift baskets for any occasion, and has an 'eye' for how to beautify your home.When you walk into the Portrait Studio, you can book your engagement, wedding, maternity, newborn, family and pet photos. We also take business headshots, as well as product & marketing photos.

It all started when I was 12. My mom was not the greatest at combing hair, so I started doing my own. Since I did such a good job, I had to start styling my mom and sister's hair as well. Eeek! Friends and family encouraged me to earn a cosmetology license in 1999. It changed my life --the ability to take something and make it more beautiful was so exciting! Almost immediately, I opened Serendipity Salon to celebrate the beauty and diversity of the Bay Area. Back then, there were virtually no multi-cultural or LGBT-friendly salons.It has been a beautiful challenge using cuts, hair color, extensions, perms and relaxers to set free the potential I see within each client.I love making people feel confident for special events -- such as job interviews, first dates, etc. Three of my passions are color, extensions and cuts! My profession as a stylist has taken me to hotel and wedding chapels ,concert venues, trade shows around the country. I enjoy sharing in making your special day beautiful
