City Council is responsible for local government leadership and decision making in the City of Abbotsford. The primary functions of City Council are to establish administrative policy; to adopt bylaws governing matters delegated to local government through the Community Charter and other Provincial statutes for the protection of the public good; and, to levy taxes for these purposes.

Christian Life Community was planted in July of 1992. We began as a small group meeting in the home of Pastor Jim and Maureen Lucas who had moved from North Vancouver to birth the new community under the auspices of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. On January 17th of 1993 our new community went public and began meeting in the Chapel of Summit Pacific College. We moved to Abbotsford Christian Secondary School on Old Clayburn Road after outgrowing the chapel in 1995 .CLCC purchased and subdivided land in 2002 in order to subsidize the construction of a new facility that now serves as a Base Camp for our community at 35131 Straiton Road.CLCC exists to engage unbelieving, unconvinced people with the message of Jesus, grow them into disciples and send them out into the world.Matthew 28:19 - Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.Matthew 22:36-40 - Jesus said, Love the Lord your God with all your heart soul and mind.
