Dr. Hind is a Victoria native and currently resides in the Sidney area with his wife Shirley and 4 children. Dr. Hind maintains strong ties to the community by volunteering at Sidney Rotary events, schools, and Peninsula community events. He graduated in 1985 from the University of British Columbia, Faculty of Dentistry after completing an Undergraduate Science degree from UBC. He is a member of and has served on committees of the Canadian Dental Association, British Columbia Dental Association and the Victoria and District Dental Society.

He has been active in orthodontic practice for more than 10 years since 2001. He is a certified Invisalign and lingual braces provider. He practiced orthodontics in Manila, Edmonton and Toronto prior to moving to Victoria where he is excited to be a productive member of the community. In June, 2014, he became a partner at Dr. Hugh Lamont Orthodontic Practice. He advises parents to have their children's orthodontic needs evaluated as early as 7 years old. Early orthodontic care will prevent serious problems from developing and make treatment at a later age shorter and less complicated.
