I've always had a love for fashion, especially Indian design and craftsmanship. I noticed that some of the world's top brands turned to India not just for design inspiration but also for the skills of its local artisans and designers who worked behind the scenes to produce stunning works of beading and embroidery for their collections. Yet, in spite of India's thriving fashion industry, Indian fashion did not have a visible platform outside of India. At the same time, there was a growing demand for high-end traditional apparel by South Asians living outside of the Indian subcontinent and those interested in Indian fashion and culture. But what was missing from this landscape was access and distribution.

Cornerstone Counselling Centre has been providing professional counselling services to children, families, and individuals in Edmonton and area for over 35 years. During this time, over 50,000 people have benefited from the help they have received at Cornerstone. Fundamental to our work are the principles of compassion and generosity, and a steadfast belief in people's ability to transform their lives. Founded in 1977, a small group of committed individuals named as the Cornerstone Counselling Society of Edmonton formed a faith based, not-for-profit agency. Their goals were to provide professional counselling services to anyone in need, regardless of their ability to pay. The fledgling agency was supported by donations from individuals, community businesses, and churches.
