In 2005 Lisa Brown saw the need for another quality childcare centre in the Sussex area and began to pursue the idea. Gathering the information, people and knowledge on running a quality daycare was important for Lisa. She acquired the required accreditation, found the right support staff and has been operating Lisa's Playhouse since 2007. A preschool that employs 13 people including her husband and services on average 60 children per week. Lisa's Playhouse is licensed through the New Brunswick of Social Development for a maximum of 39 spaces for children ages 15 months to 12 years old. Lisa has a new vision for the business. For the past few years Lisa has been researching and gathering information on a new way of pre-schooling through a forest preschool methodology, connecting children with nature. Lisa has always loved the outdoors and wants the children to have the same opportunities and experiences that she has had as a child.
