When co-owners Lydia, Nancy and Elmeda opened the doors to Kitchen Kuttings Inc. in 1989 they had an immediate vision; to operate a specialty food store that offered high-quality products with a focus on great customer service.
Located in the heart of Elmira, Ontario Kitchen Kuttings Inc. offers their diverse clientele an assortment of homemade jams, pickles, preserves, both Canadian & imported fresh-cut cheeses, homemade summer sausage, old fashioned fudge, brittle and a range of bulk food items.
Locals favor the signature thick and juicy sandwiches and homemade comfort dishes, such as meat loaf and mashed potatoes or sweet-and-sour beef short ribs. You can visit the takeout window for lunch and dinner express service or eat in the funky dining room, with exposed brick walls painted an eye popping green, for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. During Festival season the lines form early.

In 1982, Glenn Murphree purchased Olde Tyme Grocery. When he first bought the store, it had aisles of can goods, produce, and five small carts. Although it wasn't fancy, there were three things Glenn liked: it had character, a deli case, and a low price tag. On Glenn's birthday, they agreed on a price and around 3 o'clock, Glenn ran to the bank for change and was open by 5 o'clock!
