Music has many positive effects for emotional and intellectual growth, and it provides a sense of pride and accomplishment. In addition, music education contributes to self-confidence, problem solving skills, memory and concentration, goal setting and holistic healing, among many other things. Taking music lessons is associated positively with intelligence and with academic abilities while providing an outlet for emotional and mental health. Please come and join us to help share the power of music in our community!

Private lessons for ages 5+ are available along with Royal Conservatory of Music piano exam and music theory exam preparation. I truly believe that all students benefit from music lessons regardless if their goal is to attain a high standing with the RCM or if they’re learning for personal development & enjoyment. I follow the RCM curriculum & methodology as it’s the best route to develop an in-depth understanding & appreciation of music. Lessons are customized to individual students based on learning styles - various teaching techniques are used. I have a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Waterloo & I’m a RCM Certified Teacher (Elementary/Intermediate/Advanced Specialist) teaching beginner level up to Grade 8. I stay current with RCM requirements and focus on professional development by attending workshops and completing online courses. I love to teach & build relationships with my students!
