Our mission is to provide a clean and sober environment for men and women in recovery from drug and/or alcohol addiction. The mandate of the project is to help individuals who have a desire to stay sober and become productive members of society. The project values the participant's involvement in the recovery fellowships and believes it to be essential and therefore enhance the recovery process of the residents. Residents are mandated to attend 12-step meetings, work with a 12-step sponsor and do the 12 steps. These actions are essential to facilitate growth and prepare residents to achieve good emotional sobriety.

WelcomeThe Fox Lake Cree Nation currently consists of 1100 members with 500 residents in the home Reserves in Bird and Gillam Reserve and the Town of Gillam. The remaining members live mainly in Thompson, Churchill and Winnipeg. FLCN is signatory to 1910 Adhesion to Treaty 5 signed at York Factory. In 1947, Canada recognizes the Gillam Band as an independent Band and renamed the Fox Lake Band in 1949.

MATC falls under the jurisdiction of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority and is governed by a Board of Directors appointed by the Minister of Health.

Chemin Chez Nous was incorporated as a not-for-profit arts organization in February of 2007. Our mandate is to expand the performance infrastructure for folk music including the development of house concert circuits, urban folk clubs, travelling folk shows and the animation of new folk festivals.Our first priority has been the establishment of house concerts circuits and we are pleased to report that during the last season, we have grown to fourteen circuits (12 Anglophone, 2 Francophone and 1 Classical), which welcomed over 23,000 audience members.The methodology applied is based on the recruitment of brand new presenters mostly in smaller communities thereby creating new opportunities both for the musicians and for the rural audience by increasing access and quantity of professional performances. Home Routes/Chemin Chez Nous was initiated by the founders of the Winnipeg Folk Festival and the West End Cultural Centre, Mitch Podolak and Ava Kobrinsky in total collaboration with Tim Osm
