Grand Bend, Ontario welcomes visitors from around the world to our beaches. Our wide sandy beach draws people to our town to swim and they stay to enjoy our nightlife. All are welcome in Grand Bend. We have beaches both quiet and very busy. Do you want to take the family to a quiet beach where you can enjoy the sun and surf or do you want to join the crowds and see and be seen on Main Beach with thousands of others? The North beach at the end of Main Street in Grand Bend is full of young sun worshippers all dressed in their finest bathing suits recently purchased in one of many stores on Main Street. South beach is full of families and more mature sun bathers enjoying watching the children and grand children run in and out of the water. Both beaches are full of locals who have wandered down from their cottages and homes for a day of relaxation and fun.
We have 2 parks Beeline park 1 is seasonal and has a few daily rentals and park 2 is beach front on the shores of lake Erie.
Lynn and Pat Wilbur opened Paradise Valley Campground in 2001. The first few years were a very large learning curve: camping was no longer just an activity for families looking for a quick get-away from BC's lower mainland, but also for adventurers, and young people alike. Lynn and Pat realized that the campground could not offer all things to all people, and it became important to determine their market.
Stratford RV Centre opened it's doors, and began selling quality Recreational Vehicles in 1986. Stephen Hubbard took over the business in 2001 after being the Service Technician since 1987. Stratford RV Centre 2001 enjoyed a successful business on Highway 19 in Stratford for several years. In December 2006, Stratford RV Centre, after a long term of growth, moved to it's larger location on Highway 8, 3 miles east of Mitchell.
